“Winnebago Man” the Documentary (no joke)

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Possibly one of the most memorable viral videos of our time has to be The Winnebago Man. To refresh your memory, this video was clips of outtakes from an 1980s RV infomercial.

I stumbled across ,what I thought was, a fake trailer about a documentary on the winnebago man, but no. It was in fact real and was a multiple film festival winner. It wasn’t a joke! Coming to a theater near you (unfortunately not to Philly yet) Winnebego Man follows a group of individuals determined to find Jack Rebney, the infamous star behind the viral video. Check out the trailer below & see for yourself.

You can check out the film if you’re in the NYC area at Sunshine Cinema on July 9th.

Video: “SPACE SAVERS”: Parking In South Philly

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

Having a car in the city is either a blessing or a curse. Most of the time you can find parking, but it’s always those crucial moments where it’s really late & freezing out when you can’t find one. This video brings the LOLZ because this is what people do in South Philly. What pisses me off more than not finding a spot, is when THIS happens. Check it out.

Phillies Loss Drives Boy To Drink?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

The Phillies lost the game against the Padres on Sunday, which would lead any hardcore fan to drink. Even a a young boy? Unbelievable but true (in terms of this picture) this little boy appears to be taking a swig from a beer bottle at the game.

Awesome? Disturbing? Real? Was he celebrating Philly Beer Week? Are you mad we posted this? Let us know. [via NBCPhiladelphia]

Martha Stewart, A True “G”

Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

When I was a kid, I would come home from school, turn on the TV, and catch the last 10 minutes of Martha Stewart’s cooking show. It was on before my afternoon cartoons came on & I always dreaded those 10 minutes because I was terrified of her. She reminded me of the bossy aunt-type who never let you help make dinner.

Nowadays, I love Martha. She’s warm, inviting, & totally entertaining. For whatever reason, she now seems to have a strong relationship with the hip-hop community. A few months back Snoop Dogg stopped by to make mashed potatoes & on todays show, Big Boi dropped by to help Stewart make lobster. Watch the Snoop Dogg clip below, & wait til the end for when he pulls out a bottle of cognac to add his own kick to the potatoes. Then check out the hilarious & awkward Big Boi clip here.
