With enough bullshit and big enough balls you can sell anything to anyone. That’s what the Arnell Group marketing agency has taught me, through the document they purportedly used to sell Pepsi its new logo. At different points in the document, they compare the Pepsi icon and brand to the Mona Lisa and the Parthenon; the natural forces of gravity and Einstein’s general relativity; and the physical expansion of the universe. There’s been some speculation as to whether the document, called BREATHTAKING, is for real or if its just a viral marketing attempt, but according to AdAge it’s probably the genuine article. Either way, its worth reading the whole thing here for its rediculousness. Here are a few pages though, to show you what I mean:
